Health technology assessment is a critical tool used by health agencies across the globe in order to assess the efficiency of new pharmaceutical products by linking the drugs impact to defined outcomes. It has become the single most important appraisal in order to achieve market access and reimbursement status.
As a result, Health Network Communications, in association with the London School of Economics is organising the first annual policy forum for the industry where all the major HTA agencies across the world and leading pharmaceutical pharmaceutical companies discuss the challenges in obtaining market access.
Areas to be discussed include:
- Review of HTA methodologies across the globe
- How do you demonstrate cost benefit?
- How do you collect and process patient reported outcomes (PRO’s)?
- How do you integrate outcomes research into commercial decisions?
- What economic modelling techniques should you be using and when?
These topics will be addressed by HTA leaders from, NICE, CADTH, Blue Cross Blue Shield, HAS, LFN, CVZ, Scottish Medicines Consortium, Danish Centre for Health Technology Assessment, CAHTAR, German Agency for HTA, plus industry representatives from GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, Merck and AIFA.
