Project Lifecycle Risk - Event details

01/26/2010 - 01/27/2010 THE GROSVENOR HOTEL, LONDON, London, UNITED KINGDOM

Description
Overview
In 2009 the UK became the leading global market with the most installed offshore wind capacity. With the boom in offshore wind farms and the Crown Estate Round 3 zone announcements at the end of the 2009, it is essential that Project Managers throughout the lifecycle – from consents through development, construction, operations and maintenance - are able to identify, manage & mitigate risks of projects growing in size and complexity as well as to share knowledge across the entire process. This conference will address the key risks for Project Managers coming out of Rounds 1 and 2 and will also anticipate risks going into Round 3 projects. Risk will be addressed in the following forms:

Contractual
Environmental
Health & Safety
Knowledge Management
Operational
Regulatory
Commercial

Take-away knowledge and experience and learn the latest developments from the major industry figures in offshore wind:
The Crown Estate’s increased involvement and investment with developers in round 3 to de-risk the process
Commercial risk in offshore wind; why BP pulled out, how Dong Energy stayed in
Statkfraft’s experience drawn from manufacturing, examine risk allocation in contracts and how subcontractors will accept risk
Eo.n embedding Health & Safety at the front end of the project and taking responsibility for risk throughout the lifecycle
Oil & Gas experts showing how offshore wind can tighten their business risk assessment process.
