Jointly arranged by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE), Nano Korea is the only government-wide international event of its kind in Korea . As the largest nanotechnology festival in Korea held annually in August, Nano Korea hosts an exhibition and a symposium together, and since 2008, it has also concurrently hosted Microtech World. Many outstanding scholars, researchers and business figures from Korea and abroad participate in the Nano Korea Symposium and it is becoming a venue for these professionals to share the latest knowledge and information as well as develop cooperative relationships.
Nano Korea 2010 Symposium will be held for four days from 17 August (Tuesday) to 20 August (Friday). The first day will begin with the tutorial program, and starting on the second day, there will be oral and poster presentations on 14 topics and various other programs, including educational programs for teens, domestic and foreign nano-related programs for students, various international cooperation programs and small seminars on areas of particular current interest. There will also be keynote presentations by Dr. Robert Grubs (California Institute of Technology, Winner of 2005 Nobel Prize for Chemistry) and Dr. Peter Grunberg (Julich Research Centre, Winner of 2007 Noble Prize for Physics)
