WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This educational activity is specifically designed for medical and surgical oncologists, dermatologists, researchers and other physicians, physicians-in-training and other healthcare professionals interested in and/or involved in the care of patients with melanoma and its consequences.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:
- Discuss important aspects of the biology, pathogenesis and epidemiology of melanoma
- Describe the emerging technologies for biomarker development and the potential impact of biomarkers on treatment and management of melanoma
- Incorporate findings from recent clinical trials examining the role of adjuvant therapy into daily management of patients with melanoma
- Determine the utility of the sentinel node in clinical practice
- Describe emerging concepts and progress in the role of surgery and staging of melanoma
- Describe the role of the immune system in melanoma pathogenesis and identify immunological targets for therapy
- Identify currently available and investigational targeted agents for the management of metastatic melanoma
