INTERauto took place in 1995 in Paris for the first time. It was born out of the growing need for the automotive industry, in particular the interiors market, to keep abreast of trends and developments around the world. Through INTERauto the automotive interiors supply industry has an internal platform to display new ideas and simply meet people one-to-one from across all levels of the buying chain. In spring 2006 INTERauto was taken over by G+J Expomedia Events GmbH and held for the first time in November 2006 in Cologne, Germany. Exhibitors INTERauto is a niche event that caters for the international automotive interiors design industry and has become the premier place in Europe for automotive interior manufacturers to meet and showcase current ideas and products in all aspects of the industry.
