FOE gathers all optical communication systems, equipment and devices -each exposing its maximum technological advancement and latest trends in the industry. FOE 2008 (8th FIBER OPTICS EXPO), organised by Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd., was held from January 16 to 18 at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan. With 251 exhibitors, it showed its outstanding position again as Asia’s largest and most significant exhibition covering the whole Asian optical communication industry. As for the number of visitors, FOE displayed its strength attracting 13,227 industry professionals, increasing again from the previous year. Halls were filled with major communication careers, system manufacturers and professionals searching for solutions to their needs and to the latest industry trends. FOE has been increasing the number of visitors since its opening year and has once again proved itself as the most POWERFUL business venue in the Asian optical communication industry. Aside from the robust business with Japanese communication careers, system manufacturers, and device manufacturers, exhibitors also reported business with overseas visitors, particularly those from Asia, has been increasing.
