Description
The major objective of this course is to provide a comprehensive review of the most important advances that have recently been made in internal medicine. The course is directed at the level of the internist in practice and residents. The emphasis will be placed on progress that has been made in basic science, pathophysiology, and clinical management of the most common disorders seen by the internist. Each of the major subspecialties will be covered including cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology, infectious diseases, nephrology, neurology, oncology, pulmonary disease, and rheumatology. In addition, a number of important miscellaneous topics of relevance to the current practice of medicine will be addressed.

Much of the material will be presented in lecture format by our best teachers and clinicians.

Each specialty will have a case-based session using an interactive wireless audience response system. This system will allow you to anonymously test your knowledge in the different areas of medicine.
