Emergencies and Procedures in Pediatrics - Event details   12/12/2008 - 12/14/2008 MARRIOT LONG WHART BOSTON, Boston, USA  (Massachusetts)   Description Through didactic lectures and interactive sessions, the presentation and management of pediatric patients with medical and surgical emergencies will be taught in this intensive three-day course. Keynote lectures will focus on the "must knows" about pediatric facial emergencies. Small group interactive sessions will highlight procedural sedation, and interpretation of diagnostic imagery and EKGs. Hands-on workshops will allow participants to practice their skills in airway management (including laryngeal mask airways), resuscitation, and vascular access. Pediatric surgeons will offer individualized teaching on suturing, tissues adhesive, and casting/ splinting techniques.
