Perioperative Care for the Geriatric Patient - Event details   06/14/2009 - 06/16/2009 TBA, Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC   Description Dear Colleagues, I am cordially inviting you to participate in the International Medical Congress entitled PERIOPERATIVE CARE FOR THE GERIATRIC PATIENT to be held in Prague, Czech Republic, 14 - 16 June 2009. There is no doubt that the aging population is growing exponentially. Increase in life expectancy, early recognition of medical problems and reduced mortality from chronic age-related diseases, has increased the number of elderly patients subjected to anesthesia, surgery, critical and postoperative care. The implications of an aging population for clinical practice are well recognized with growing new information. The event provides a unique opportunity to meet and interact with participants from many medical specialties from around the world in order to discuss improvements of care in the elderly. The organisers are doing their best to prepare the International Congress with the topic of Perioperative Care for the Geriatric Patient. This is an issue which we all are facing with ever increasing urgency. Invited lectures will be presented by well-known opinion leaders, excellent practicioners, scientists and scholars. Those presenting free papers and posters are also very welcome.
