2ND EURO-ARAB SCHOOL OF ONCOLOGY MASTERCLASS IN CLINICAL ONCOLOGY - Event details   11/22/2008 - 11/26/2008 NATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTE, Cairo, EGYPT   Description EASO is the first and only scientific body that is mainly concerned with young Arab oncologists. We aim to support and enhance their education by organizing regular courses and master classes in Egypt and the Arab world. This is in addition to providing career opportunities in the form of educational grants and fellowships in leading oncology centres in Europe. Such activities will lead to a network of scientific relationships and collaborations between cancer specialists in the European and the Arab countries. A masterclass is: - A one-week residential educational event - Full immersion clinically-oriented - Multidisciplinary - An international faculty of experts delivering lectures focusing on breast, gynaecological, lung, colorectal and prostate cancers Teaching format: The masterclass offers plenary lectures with state-of-the-art treatments concluded in take-home messages, case presentations by participants and discussions with the faculty and the audience. Participation is compulsory throughout the course. The masterclass will be entirely in English and fluency in English is necessary for admission. Case presentations: We strongly encourage applicants to submit an abstract with a case for discussion. This will count as a criteria of selection. The case will be presented by the participants and will be discussed in the panel.
