Why now?
As we wrap up the sixth year of continuous operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, the sustainment of substantial troop levels in asymmetric environments continues to claim our warfighters as combat casualties. IDGA’s 8th Battlefield Healthcare will focus on the multiple realities that face combat casualty care today: the continuous training of our caregivers, rehabilitation of those who have sustained life-altering injuries, and the continuum of care after the call of duty.
Another unparalleled speaker line up:
- Honorable Michael J. Kussman, Department of Veterans Affairs
- Major General Thomas W. Travis, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas
- Brigadier General James K. Gilman, Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas
- Captain Mitchell Dukovich, Naval Expeditionary Medical Training Institute
Who will be attending?
Battlefield Healthcare does focus on caregiving, but its not just for doctors, medics and nurses. In the past, a variety of professions have attended for networking and informational purposes. Battlefield Healthcare will bring together:
Doctors, Nurses, Medics, Statisticians, Consultants, Analysts, LT Commanders, Technology Directors, Epidemiologists, Surgeons, Researchers, Psychologists, Physiologists, Neuropsychiatrists, Case Managers, Hospital Executives, Professors and Assistants
